Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This page is a plain-language summary of how we handle data across our surfaces. For the controlling legal text in your jurisdiction, contact us for the executed agreement.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how O Studio ("we", "us", or "O") handles personal information across our marketing website (tryo.studio), the O Studio web application, the O Studio desktop application, and any enterprise deployments operated on behalf of customers.

We design for archive operators, video producers, and enterprise media teams. Our default posture is data minimization: we collect only what we need to deliver the service, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Name, work email, company, role, and authentication identifiers (provided by you or your identity provider).

Media you upload. Files you provide to the platform for analysis, restoration, transcription, or publication. See our security page for retention defaults per surface.

Derived metadata. Transcripts, scene tags, quality scores, technical fingerprints, and confidence values produced by our AI pipelines from media you upload.

Usage telemetry. Page views, feature usage, error events, and performance metrics. On the desktop app, telemetry is opt-in and disabled by default in full-local mode.

Communications. Messages you send through our contact and beta forms, including any context you provide about your archive or use case.

3. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the O Studio platform and its workflows.
  • Run the AI pipelines you explicitly request and surface their results to you.
  • Track per-job and per-account costs so you can see API spend in real time.
  • Respond to support, sales, and partnership inquiries.
  • Investigate abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations applicable to our operations.

We do not train shared models on your private media. Customer media is used to deliver the service you requested, not to improve general-purpose models for other customers.

4. Retention

Retention defaults vary by surface. The full matrix is documented on the security page. In summary:

  • Live trial uploads (when enabled): deleted within one hour of trial completion.
  • Web app projects: retained for the life of the account; deletable at any time.
  • Windows desktop local processing: proof-gated pilot review only; no production-ready desktop availability claim is made here.
  • Enterprise deployments: retention governed by your contract.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only in the following limited cases:

  • Sub-processors we use to operate the platform (cloud infrastructure, email delivery, error monitoring, AI model providers). Each sub-processor is bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
  • At your direction, for example when you connect a publishing integration or invite a teammate.
  • Legal compliance, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page.

For enterprise customers, data subject requests are routed through your designated point of contact and fulfilled per your Data Processing Agreement.

7. Children

O Studio is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the updates page and, where appropriate, by email to account holders.
